CONCERT TICKET SELLING LEGISLATION:- There has been a lot of discussions in the UK and Europe and across the water in the United States  concerning the resale of tickets with a view to providing better safe guards for the consumer. The United States have a very different outlook to that of the UK and Europe but since Covid has affected the world economies, this again has become a big talking point in most countries with a focus on Live Entertainment and how this may be reformed.

Every country has their own take on what is permissible and current Legislation is under review to try to give better protection to the consumer and buying public.

28 Sep 23 Ticket Reforms, BOSS/SWIFT Act being considered by House Committee
Ticketing was the headliner this week at the House of Representatives, as proposed legislation was discussed at a meeting of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. Bills discussed included the proposed TICKET Act, which would bring “all-in” ticket pricing requirements at the federal level, as well as the much more comprehensive BOSS and SWIFT Act.
